Father Joe's Thanksgiving Day 5K is Thursday, November 25, 2010. The race starts and finishes in front of the Museum of Man Arch in Balboa Park. In 2009, over 9,500 registered for this fun event benefiting St. Vincent de Paul Village.

Father Joe's Thanksgiving Day 5K serves a dual purpose: to raise funds for the Village’s meal service; and to accommodate the large number of volunteers who typically look to serve the annual Thanksgiving Day meal St. Vincent’s offers it residents, chronically homeless individuals living on the streets and underserved members of the surrounding neighborhoods.
