REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS
How do I request a
refund for my entry fee if I can no longer participate in the race?
Before
requesting a refund, make sure to read the refund policy for the race. Each
race has a different refund policy and different dates that the refund must be
requested by. If you fall within the refund request dates and the race is not
sold out, you may request a refund by either calling the office at 858.268.1250
or by e-mailing info@kozenterprises.com.
How do I request a transfer of my entry fees?
Before
requesting a transfer, make sure to read the transfer policy for the race. If
you fall within the dates to request a transfer, you may request the transfer
by either calling the office at 858.268.1250 or by e-mailing info@kozenterprises.com.
Which race can I
transfer to?
Each race has different transfer policies. They are as
follows:
SUPERFROG/SEAL: You may only transfer your entry to the next
year’s race.
SPRING SPRINT: You may transfer your entry to Solana Beach,
Mission Bay, or the next year’s Spring Sprint
SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL: You may only transfer your entry to
the next year’s race.
SOLANA BEACH: You may transfer your entry to Mission Bay,
Spring Sprint, or the next year’s race.
IMPERIAL BEACH: You may only transfer your entry to the next
year’s race.
MISSION BAY: You may
transfer your entry to Spring Sprint, Solana Beach, or the next year’s race.
What happens when I
request a transfer of my entry fees?
If your request for a
transfer is granted then we will mail you out a transfer letter the week after
the race. You will need to mail that letter in with your registration to the
next years race or the race you would like to transfer to. If you miss the
deadline for the mail in registration your transfer will expire. NO EXCEPTIONS!
If the race is sold
out, will I still be able to transfer into that race?
Once
the race is sold out, no one will be allowed to enter. If you miss the cut off
because you did not mail in your transfer letter your letter will expire and
you will not be allowed to enter the race?
Why are transfers not
available online?
Transfers
are not available online because we need the original copy of the transfer
letter that was mailed to you returned back to us.
What if I want to
transfer my entry to my friend or family member?
If you are already
registered and would like to transfer your entry to your friend there are 6
steps you must follow:
1.)
Read the transfer policy for the race and make
sure you are within the transfer deadlines.
2.)
Call the office and let us know you are transfer
your registration to your friend and the name of your friend.
3.)
Download the paper entry form for the race off
of our website
4.)
Have your friend fill out the paper entry form.
5.)
Write “TRANSFER FROM…and then your name” at the
bottom of the entry form and then initial next to your name.
6.)
Mail or fax the entry form into the KOZ office
(this applies for all races)
Your name will then be taken out of the database. Your phone
call and initial are viewed as your permission to remove your name from the
database.
